Before the sledgehammers flew

This is what our cottage looked like before we ripped done the entire front wall. Why? You ask.

Well, though the cottage itself was structually sound (thank god) these windows face the lake. They are original to the cottage (50 yrs old). Rot had settled in the framing and snow was actually coming in through the closed windows. They needed to go before we could move in. They had served this place well, but needed to be put to rest.

With the help of my step-dad and his co-worker, who are construction workers and were looking for something to do before their next job, they took this sweet cottage and gave it a bit of a facelift.
